Seasonal Brush Cutter Positions (x29) – Community Services / Parks and Gardens

Endumeni Local Municipality

The Endumeni Municipality invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for seasonal employment within the Community Services Department, Parks and Gardens Section, as Brush Cutters (x29). These positions will be based within the Endumeni area on a six-month contract from 01 December 2025 to 31 May 2026, with a daily rate of R239.00. The Municipality seeks individuals who are physically fit, able to read and write, have knowledge and experience in operating brush cutters, and can communicate effectively in the local community languages.

Applicants must be unemployed and not receiving any social grant, including disability or foster care grants. Successful candidates will work under the supervision of senior staff to maintain and improve the cleanliness and appearance of public parks and gardens across Endumeni. Preference will be given to women and persons with disabilities, as the Municipality is committed to promoting employment equity and diversity in the workplace.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to read and write
  • Unemployed, not receiving grant; disability, foster care etc
  • Knowledge of using brushcutter
  • Physical fit
  • Knowledge to communicate fluently in the languages of the community

The successful candidate will be expected to work under supervision of present senior staff.
