Ikhala TVET College invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Cleaner/Groundsman (Casual Worker). The appointment will be made on an as-and-when-required basis, with a salary rate of R28.79 per hour. Opportunities are available at various campuses, including the Admin Centre, Queenstown Campus, Aliwal North Campuses, Ezibeleni Engineering Campuses, Sterkspruit Campuses, and Queen Nonesi Campus. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of a Grade 10/Std 8 qualification and have at least one year of cleaning experience.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene in and around the assigned College premises, performing routine cleaning duties, operating cleaning equipment, and adhering to safety and hygiene standards. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES
- Maintain a high level of hygiene in and around the workplace
- Clean College premises (inner and/or outer areas)
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting and polishing furniture and floors
- Vacuum carpets and mop tiled floors
- Empty dustbins in offices and classrooms
- Perform basic maintenance tasks in and around assigned premises
- Clean restrooms and kitchens
- Follow safety guidelines, including correct handling of cleaning chemicals and use of PPE
- Report maintenance needs or repairs to management
