SANParks Invites Applications for 49 EPWP Jobs Across South Africa

South African National Parks (SANParks) invites applications for multiple employment opportunities through the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP), offering more than 50 contract positions across various national parks in South Africa. These opportunities provide job seekers with a chance to gain valuable work experience in conservation, administration, environmental monitoring, and park management while contributing to the protection of South Africa’s natural heritage.

The available positions are located in Mapungubwe National Park, Kruger National Park, and Groenkloof National Park. Successful candidates will be appointed on fixed-term contracts running until 31 March 2027 and will receive daily wages according to EPWP rates.

1. Skilled Environmental Monitor Admin (1 Post)

Location: Mapungubwe National Park & World Heritage Site

This position is suitable for candidates with strong administrative and computer skills who are interested in supporting conservation operations through office administration and data management.

Salary: R311 per day

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric/Grade 12/NCV Level 4
  • Additional relevant qualifications will be advantageous
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software
  • Good communication skills in English and another official language
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety principles
  • Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and after-hours when required
  • Physically fit and medically capable
