Position: Adcock Ingram: Operator – Compounding
AICC Division

Reporting to: Compounding Pharmacist

Job Purpose: To clean and sanitise all Tanks in the Compounding departments. To clean the entire Compounding Department (Upper, Lower tank rooms, Change rooms and Weigh areas etc.) To ensure timeous preparation and filling of Tanks as per Nightshift Instructions.

To assist with the sanitization of the filling lines and preparation and testing of filters
To assist the Compounding Pharmacist with raw material receipt, raw material preparation, batch weighing, batch compounding etc.

Required Learning

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry

Key Job Outputs

  • Cleaning and sanitisation of tanks as per SOP
  • Cleaning of the Compounding Departments as per SOP
  • Preparation of tanks as per Nightshift Instructions and SOP
  • Sanitisation of Filling Lines and Tank hook ups as per SOP
  • Preparation and testing of filters as per SOP
  • Preparation of cleaning and disinfection solutions
  • Completion of all necessary Logs for the sanitisation of tanks, cleaning of facility etc
  • Receipt of Raw Material at Compounding as per SOP
  • Preparation of Raw Material for Compounding as per SOP
  • Batch weighing as per SOP
  • Batch compounding as per SOP
  • Assist with pre-compounding checks etc
