The Wits Health Consortium invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Administrator to provide administrative support to the team working on the BRAVE Project. The position is permanent and based at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, Parktown. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, including preparing and circulating meeting agendas and minutes, managing records and files, updating progress charts, coordinating travel arrangements, assisting with meeting planning, and providing general office support while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.

Key Performance Areas
  • Prepare and circulate meeting agendas and minutes
  • Store meeting recordings and other relevant site files
  • Update progress (Gantt) charts
  • Organise travel for team members, including obtaining quotes for flights, accommodation, transfers, per diem, and completing travel forms
  • Assist with planning and hosting regular virtual and in-person meetings
  • General office management, including ordering and filing
  • Relay and route written and verbal messages
  • Maintain and assist staff with printers and photocopiers
  • Attend meetings after regular working hours and travel when required
  • Act in a professional and friendly manner when dealing with all stakeholders
  • Demonstrate high levels of customer centricity at all times
  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management
  • Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback
Required Minimum Education and Training
  • Grade 12 / Matric
