Position Overview
The City of Johannesburg is seeking to appoint a Data Capturer on a fixed-term performance-based contract linked to the Political Term of Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing information received from various governance structures onto the relevant systems used within the City.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric Certificate / Grade 12
- 1 – 2 years relevant experience in administration
- Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications)
Primary Function
The primary responsibility of this role is to capture information received from the Cluster, Mayoral Committee, Section 79 Committees, Programming Committee, and Council onto the various systems used within the City of Johannesburg.

- Capture information on the various systems used within the City of Johannesburg
- Capture MMC’s Regional Tours issues and follow up on all matters requiring LOEB attention
- Comply with the minimum capturing requirements as laid down by Management
