Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure organizational safety measures and compliance with mandatory regulations.
  • Maintain records of incidents/accidents and produce statistics for managers.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and stakeholders (end-users, SMEs, project managers, senior staff).
  • Deliver exceptional service through proactive and innovative solutions.
  • Organize fire drills and ensure safe equipment installation.
  • Conduct regular inspections on equipment/machinery to identify hazards/risks.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining EHS documentation.
  • Support internal/external EHS audits and inspections.
  • Monitor vendor/contractor compliance with EHS requirements, including safety file reviews.
  • Coordinate EHS-related training, occupational hygiene surveys, and meetings.
  • Maintain EHS records (appointments, training, inspections, fire drills, action trackers, committee minutes).
  • Communicate EHS information to employees and contractors.
  • Manage EHS-related purchase orders.
  • Pursue personal development to enhance skills and competencies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification: Certificates in Health and Safety (e.g., SAMTRAC or other EHS-related non-university certificates).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of administration experience; EHS experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
