About the Role
The Health Systems Trust (HST) is seeking 35 Data Capturers to join the National Department of Health Global Fund Tuberculosis (TB) Project in eThekwini district. The role focuses on capturing, verifying, and reporting TB data at health facilities and community levels, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting of linkage referrals to support patient tracking and tracing.
This is a fixed-term contract position, with potential renewal contingent on continued funding.

Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, project management, and Department of Health staff to support project goals.
- Data Capturing & Reporting:
- Capture, record, and report data from TB screening in communities and facilities.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for submission.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, project management, and Department of Health staff to capture relevant TB-related data and meet project objectives.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:
- Collect and verify data daily, weekly, and monthly to ensure high data quality.
- Conduct data clean-up as required.
- Perform filing and administrative duties, including ad-hoc tasks.
- Reporting: Ensure timely submission of weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum: Matriculation Certificate (Grade 12).
- Advantageous: Tertiary qualification.
- Required: Training on TIER.Net software and/or prior experience with TIER.Net data capturing.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data capturing (TIER.Net and DHIS) and reporting.
- Experience in recording and reporting TB and HIV data.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of health Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems.
- Advantageous: Experience in a donor-funded environment.

Remuneration
- Salary Range: R222,703 – R279,385.67 (Total Cost to Company, based on Global Fund requirements).
