The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites qualified and motivated individuals to apply for the position of Grant Administrator within the Eastern Cape region. This opportunity offers five positions located in Gqeberha, Lusikisiki (Bizana), and Mthatha. Candidates with an undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) in fields such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Social Sciences, or Social Security are encouraged to apply. The role entails providing excellent grant customer care services, processing grant applications, managing beneficiary maintenance, administering medical assessments, and supporting off-site grant application services.

EASTERN CAPE REGION
Grant Administrators: (Salary Level 5) x5
  • Salary: R 228 321 – R268 960 pa exclusive of benefits

Minimum Requirements

Candidates should hold undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 6) as recognised by SAQA in Public Administration/Business Administration/Economics/Development Studies/Finance/Accounting/Commerce/Social Sciences/Social Security.

Duties

The incumbent will provide grant customer care service; Screen and capture grant applications including beneficiary maintenance functions effectively; Administer medical bookings and assessments; Provide off-site grant application services to clients; Scanning and batching of grants files.

Employment Equity (EE) Targets

Preference will be given to YOUTH for the following EE Targets respectively as at the time of appointment:

  • Gqeberha: African Male/PWD; Coloured Male; White Male
  • Lusikisiki: African Male/PWD; African Female; Coloured Male
  • Mthatha: African Male/PWD; African Female; Coloured Male
