JOB DESCRIPTION

Synergy Biomed Research Institute (SBRI – East London) is seeking a Data Capturer to join its Clinical Trials Team as soon as possible. The Data Capturer will be responsible for capturing and archiving clinical data in addition to conducting comprehensive data quality assessments on various project datasets and generating quality reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality reviews and clinical data entry
  • Ensure proper filing of all research and project data (paper and electronic)
  • Provide general administrative support to sbri research unit
  • Store participant files in a standard retrievable manner
  • Understand and apply good clinical practice (gcp) standards when dealing with participants’ information
  • Data query resolution
  • Source data verification
  • Compile data quality reports
  • Comply with individual set targets as determined by data coordinator or manager or trial sponsor
  • Collaborate and maintain professional relations with investigators and non-research clinical staff
  • Maintain study participant confidentiality
  • Perform any other duties or roles as stipulated by the line manager

RQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Diploma in IT/Administration/Office Management or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in an additional local language is advantageous
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Clinical trial experience is advantageous
