Description

This position involves a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard role at the FlySafair facility in Johannesburg. The role ensures the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and Control Access: Regulate entry and exit at the FlySafair facility, ensuring only authorized personnel, vehicles, materials, company assets, and consumables are permitted.
  • Premises Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of all facilities and perimeters to maintain a secure environment.
  • Incident Response: Stay alert for signs of criminal activity or disturbances, engage with relevant stakeholders, and report suspicious incidents promptly.
  • Violator Removal: Assist in the safe and professional removal of violators from the premises when required.
  • Searches: Perform general searches of vehicles and valuables to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Assist with additional tasks as required to support operational needs.
Requirements
  • Education: Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential).
  • Certification: Valid Security Certificate, Grade C (Essential).
  • Availability: Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Knowledge: Basic security knowledge (Essential); aviation knowledge (Advantageous).
  • Experience: Prior experience in a security role is preferred but not mandatory.
