Job Summary
I perform protection duties within the Parliamentary precincts to maintain a safe, secure, and controlled environment for Members of Parliament, staff, visitors, and assets. I support security operations that promote accountability, safety, and order within one of the country’s most important constitutional institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- I control access and egress of people entering and leaving parliamentary premises
- I monitor and regulate the movement of goods within the precincts
- I support internal movement control and security coordination
- I manage access to the Chamber and other restricted areas
- I assist with safety enforcement and protection procedures
- I participate in emergency response and disaster management activities
- I support compliance with security rules and operational procedures
- I maintain vigilance to prevent unauthorized entry and incidents
- I protect infrastructure, personnel, and visitors within the precincts

Minimum Requirements
- I hold Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- I possess relevant Security Certificates
- I have a minimum of 2 years relevant security experience
- I demonstrate understanding of security operations within controlled environments
