Position: Permanent Position: Cleaners X2
Remuneration: R128 407.68 per annum Task Grade 2
Requirements:
- Grade 8 (Standard 6).
- Police clearance certificate, at least 1- 2 years relevant experience, good state of health in such a manner that inherent duties Linked to the position can be performed, proficiency in at least three (3) official languages. Proof of municipal statement of account.
Key Performance Areas:
- Clean workspaces, common areas, offices, hallways, and bathrooms.
- Sweep, mop, and buff hardwood floors as needed.
- Vacuum carpeted areas and furniture.
- Dust and polish various surfaces.
- Restock bathrooms with supplies.
- Empty trash bins.
- Keep track of cleaning schedule

Key Performance Area
- Handling and transportation of water quality samples, chemicals and other heavy materials or equipment.
- Assist with pipe-bursts, cleaning of reservoirs, sediment tanks and filters.
- General cleaning and maintenance of the purification plant, scheme offices and buildings.
- Carry out other building maintenance activities.
- Comply to safety procedures and guidelines (Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993)

INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES DEPARTMENT
Position: General Workers: Electrical X4
Salary: R128 407.68 per annum – Task Grade 2
Requirement:
- At least Grade 8 or Appropriate level of secondary education.
- 5 years working experience on heavy current or high voltage.
- Police clearance certificate.
- Be physically strong.
- Diligent and hard-working.
- At least two languages proficiency within the municipal area.
Key Performance Area:
- Providing support to Electrician during the marking off of work area/ site holding measuring tapes and inserting level
indicators. - Excavating and backfilling trenches to defined levels using hand-held tools (e.g. spade, picks, etc.).
- Laying cables and/ or guiding the positioning of poles and associated structures and, laying and compacting cement mixes and soil to reinforce structures using hand-held tools (e.g. hand-compactor, spade etc.).
- Operating small hand-held machines and equipment during excavation and trench-digging.
- Cleaning and removing blockages, debris and alien vegetation from/ around premises housing electrical distribution systems or trimming vegetation interfering with overhead lines and cables using hand-held tools (e.g. spade, trimmers, etc.).

Position: General Workers: Waste Management X12
Salary: R128 407.68 per annum – Task Grade 2
Requirement:
- At least Grade 8.
- Police clearance certificate.
- Be physically strong.
- Diligent and hard-working.
- At least two languages proficiency within the municipal area.
Key Performance Area:
- Household refuse removal.
- Worker on refuse compactor.
- Cleaning the municipal pavement.
- Picking up litter by using pick sticks.
- Perform any other related duties as instructed by the supervisor.
- Performs labouring activities associated with waste management, maintaining the cleanliness of streets and public open places.
- Sweep, gather and load litter and general waste and place in designated areas/vehicles.
- Cleans and stores equipment/tools.
- Comply to safety procedures and guideline (Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993).
