Purpose of the Position

The primary purpose of the Data Capturer role is to ensure accurate and timely capturing of patient information into electronic research databases. Key Responsibilities

The Data Capturer will perform a range of administrative and data management duties that support research activities within the division.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and capturing new patient files within electronic systems
  • Capturing blood results received from laboratory services
  • Identifying missing information, inconsistencies, and errors in patient records
  • Following up on discrepancies and reporting unresolved issues
  • Maintaining and updating patient files regularly
  • Performing daily data cleaning and quality control checks
  • Verifying the accuracy of manually captured information

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Education:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience:
