Emeris Sandton Campus is seeking an organised and customer-focused Admissions Officer to support students throughout the admissions and registration process.

The successful candidate will work closely with student recruitment and retention teams to ensure that applications are processed efficiently and that students progress through the registration process without unnecessary delays.

The role also involves following up on outstanding documentation, assessing applications, maintaining student records and assisting with registration-related queries.

Admissions Officer Duties and Responsibilities

The Admissions Officer will be responsible for a range of administrative and student-support duties associated with admissions, registration and graduation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with campus student recruitment and retention teams to facilitate the admission and registration of students.
  • Supporting the timely progression of students through the registration funnel.
  • Following up proactively on outstanding documentation and missing information required to finalise admissions decisions.
  • Assisting students in becoming ready for registration by ensuring that required information and documentation are available.
  • Assessing applications from returning students against established admission and progression criteria.
  • Ensuring that applications are assessed in accordance with institutional policies and requirements.
  • Communicating admissions outcomes accurately and professionally.
  • Liaising with campus student retention teams during the admissions evaluation process.
  • Responding to queries and providing appropriate guidance during the admissions process.

  • Resending expired offers where required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Applicants must have at least a:

  • National Senior Certificate (Matric or equivalent).

A higher qualification will be advantageous. These include:

  • Higher Certificate at NQF Level 5
  • Diploma at NQF Level 6
  • Undergraduate Degree at NQF Level 7
