Summary of the role: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of the electrical and power systems for the site and plant
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, provide first line equipment maintenance, and repair (fault finding and root cause analysis) all
equipment within the manufacturing and production environment. - Exercise diagnostic and analytical procedures for fault management.
- Provide standby / call-out / breakdown support as required.
- Perform assigned maintenance activities and assessments acceptable to engineering standards.
- Assist with review and development of maintenance schedules.
- Assist with identification of critical spares.
- Work within a team dynamic
- Ensure adherence to PPE standards, safety and health produces and policies of the company.
- Conduct legal inspection on all electrical equipment and installations
- Update legal registers weekly/monthly.
- Complete all job cards on work done prior to shift end.
Requirements:
- Grade 12.
- Electrical Trade Qualification (Red Seal Trade Test) – Critical for this position.
- Wireman’s License will be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as qualified electrician.
- Plant maintenance and mining experience required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Applicant must be willing to work shifts, overtime, night shifts, on standby.
