
AfriSam (South Africa) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Warehouse Attendant to be based at Bloemfontein Depot, Free State.
Position: Warehouse Attendant
Location: Bloemfontein Depot, Free State
Closing date: 21 February 2025
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
All warehouse duties with specific focus on offloading and loading of palletised cement, bulk loading and offloading, stock / pallets stacking in the yard.
Loading transporter vehicles per correct weight distribution for the truck and per Traffic Road Regulations
Reporting breakages and missing bags
Ensuring the correct product type, product packaging and quantity is loaded in accordance with authority to load
Assisting with the re-bagging and repacking of cement as per the set procedures
Operating the forklift to move palletised products within optimal timeframes
Maintaining Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
Experience and Qualifications:
Grade 12/ Amended Senior Certificate/ NCV Level 4/ Technical Matric – N3 (4 technical subjects +2 official languages).
8 ton Forklift driver’s license
Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related industry preferably with experience in the operating bulk handling equipment and driving a forklift.
Skills and Knowledge:
Good knowledge of forklift operation
Very proficient in operating the bulk handling equipment.
Good knowledge of safe pallet stacking procedure.
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental risks.
