Key Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will perform routine activities associated with road construction, maintenance, and safety support services. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with construction of culverts
  • Supporting installation and maintenance of side drains
  • Erecting steel guardrails along road infrastructure
  • Installing and maintaining gabions for erosion control
  • Participating in construction of road earthworks
  • Assisting with preparation of layer works
  • Cleaning roads and road reserves
  • Maintaining sidewalks and pedestrian areas
  • Cleaning resting areas along provincial routes
  • Supporting surfacing operations
  • Performing pothole patching duties
  • Assisting with fencing activities
  • Supporting pipe laying activities
