Administrator (Permanent)
A vacancy exists for the position of Administrator in the new Grasslands National Park Rhodes Maclear region of the Eastern Cape. To provide administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient operation of the office. The administrator will assist in general office tasks including data entry, recordkeeping, filing, and correspondence. The position will be stationed at the Nqanqarhu (Maclear) office, which is situated outside the park, and will report to the SANParks Park Expansion Manager. There is no accommodation offered inside the park.
Requirements
- A qualification at NQF Level 5 in Administration (Finance) or Office Management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative role.
- A valid Code 08 (or equivalent) driver’s license.
- Experience as an Assistant Accountant will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, faxing, and maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems.
- Facilitate the efficient procurement of goods and services required by park personnel.
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely processing of all supplier invoices.
- Provide secretarial support as needed, including assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Manage office supplies and inventory, including ordering and stock control.
- Accurately capture and process data on relevant systems.
- Prepare procurement documentation in line with Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and procedures.

- Valid South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) Helicopter Commercial License (HCPL).
- Valid Sling rating issued by the SACAA.
- Valid night rating issued by the SACAA.
- Minimum total flight hours (Rotorwing) – 3,000.
- Minimum total flight hours (Turbine – Rotorwing) – 1,000.
- AS350 / H125 rating (minimum hours on type – 100).
- Valid Game / Cull Rating.
- Minimum 250 hours game capture experience.
- Valid Dangerous Goods course certificate.
- Valid Crew Resource Management course certificate.
- Valid SACAA Class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate.
- Valid Code 08 South African driver’s license.
