REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
  • Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Worker
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit proof of current registration with SACSSP

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Public Service legislation, Batho Pele principles, human behaviour and social systems, social work intervention processes, mentoring of auxiliary workers, EPMDS, etc.
Skills: Communication, report writing, problem-solving, counselling, computer literacy, driving, etc.

DUTIES:

  • Render social work services regarding care, support, protection and development of vulnerable individuals, groups, families and communities
  • Supervise and support Social Auxiliary Workers and students
  • Stay updated with developments in the social work field
  • Perform administrative functions
