Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualification
Applicants must have an NQF Level 6 qualification in:
- Office Administration
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Or a related field
Work Experience
Candidates must have 1–2 years of relevant experience in:
- Project management support
- Accounting support functions
- Audit support
- Administrative coordination for programmes or projects
Additional Advantages
The following will be beneficial but not mandatory:
- At least 1 year experience in the Public Service or SETA environment
- Valid driver’s licence

Applicants must currently reside in Gauteng Province, as the roles are based at the CHIETA Head Office.

Key Responsibilities
Grants Records Management
- Maintain records management systems for discretionary and mandatory grants.
Grants Documentation
- Ensure documentation in the Grants and Strategic Projects Unit is properly maintained.
Regional Evidence Verification
- Consolidate and review evidence submitted by regional offices according to guidelines from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET).
Payment Processing Support
- Assist in reviewing documentation and supporting payment processing procedures.
Reporting
- Prepare tracking reports and statistical reports for project monitoring.
Executive Administrative Support
- Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Manager.
Regional Administrative Support
- Assist regional teams with documentation coordination and reporting.
Audit Preparation
- Prepare documentation and evidence for internal and external audits.
DHET SETA Quarterly Monitoring
- Compile and verify documentation required for quarterly monitoring reporting.
Documentation Filing
- Ensure all records related to grants are filed correctly and stored securely.
Documentation Traceability
- Improve traceability of documentation for easier retrieval during audits or reporting.
