The Department of Correctional Services invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for Switchboard Operator posts available across multiple regions. These positions offer an opportunity to contribute to effective communication support services within correctional facilities and regional offices while ensuring professional handling of incoming calls, maintenance of switchboard systems, and accurate recordkeeping of security-related registers.

Suitable candidates must hold a Grade 12 certificate, demonstrate experience in switchboard operations, and possess strong communication skills with a friendly and professional approach. Computer literacy is required, while a valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage. Successful applicants will be expected to maintain confidentiality, support service delivery standards, manage communication records, and perform administrative duties related to switchboard operations and asset control.

Important Application Information

Certified copies of qualifications and supporting documents (not older than 6 months) will be required only from shortlisted candidates on or before the interview date.
