DRIVER – LEVEL 3

Requirements
  • ABET Level 4 or Grade 10
  • Valid Code 10/14 Driver’s Licence with PDP
  • Unendorsed driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of surrounding hospitals and clinics
  • Understanding of legislative prescripts governing the health sector
Duties
  • Transport staff, patients, and documents
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Report vehicle faults and damages within 24 hours
  • Compile incident reports when required
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Change a flat tyre when necessary
  • Work shifts and ensure safe, timely transportation
  • Comply with the Department of Transport Handbook
  • Perform additional duties as delegated by the supervisor

SECURITY OFFICER – LEVEL 3

  • Grade C Security Certificate with valid PSIRA registration
  • No criminal record
  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to communicate in more than one official language
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Knowledge of security prescripts and Batho Pele Principles
Duties
  • Ensure safety and security of staff, visitors, and assets
  • Control access points and conduct searches
  • Perform hourly patrols within the institution and perimeter
  • Monitor CCTV cameras
  • Report suspicious activities and abnormalities
  • Attend meetings and submit reports
  • Provide backup assistance to other units

OPERATOR – LEVEL 3

  • Good communication and planning skills
  • CSSD/Theatre experience will be an added advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team
  • Willingness to work shifts and rotations
  • Understanding of Batho Pele Principles
Duties
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards
  • Handle, clean, pack, and sterilise instruments
  • Operate autoclaves and instrument washers
  • Collect instruments from wards and theatres
  • Dispose of waste according to policy
  • Maintain registers, daily statistics, and quality control tests
  • Pack soft packs and manage linen
  • Perform duties under supervision of a Professional Nurse
  • Carry out additional lawful duties as required
