POSITION: Manufacturing Interns X10 (12 months contract) #DFC210823-3
LOCATION: Benoni
REPORTING TO: Production Manager
JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The incumbent will form part of the production team. This is an opportunity for graduates to gain practical work experience within the manufacturing environment.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Communicating and maintaining the required quality standards to other functions
- Build customer relationships in order to understand their needs
- Standards are met in terms of quality, quantity and due dates
- Provide good quality results when accumulating data, processing data or reporting on data
- Manage own work planning and delivery in accordance to instruction given by superior
- Identify optimization opportunities and assist with the implementation thereof, under supervision
- Provide technical support to multi-disciplinary teams in specific environments
- Perform all tasks cost-consciously
- Apply safety principles in the planning and execution of projects
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
- N4 – N6 Mechanical Engineering
EXPERIENCE
- No work experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Good understanding and knowledge of mining machines, components, application and operations an advantage.
- Driven, results orientated with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of Basic Design and Engineering practices
- Basic Kinematics, hydraulic knowledge
