Twelve (12) Months Contract

The Limpopo Department of Education hereby announces the availability of employment opportunities under the Extended Public Works Programme (EPWP) for a fixed period of twelve (12) months.
This Circular serves to formally advertise EPWP contract positions within the Department, in accordance with approved programme implementation processes. The recruitment of participants forms part of government’s ongoing commitment to create temporary work opportunities, support income relief, and enhance skills development among unemployed individuals within communities across Limpopo Province.

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.
- A recognised N6 qualification or higher will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and Skills
Successful candidates must demonstrate:
- Computer literacy and ability to work with data systems.
- Sound numerical skills.
- Analytical ability and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
The appointed Data Capturers will be responsible for:
- Providing exception reports on data received and captured.
- Developing a list of expected EPWP reports.
- Reconciling reports received versus expected and advising the immediate manager on outstanding reports.
- Capturing all allocated EPWP reports from programmes.
- Assisting with preparation of inputs for the Branch’s reporting mandates.
- Conducting data quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of information.

Selection Criteria
Selection of participants will be guided by the following:
- Preference will be given to participants residing within the local municipality where the Education District is located.
- Participants from nearby municipalities may be considered if required skills are unavailable locally, however such participants may not exceed 20% of total programme participants.
- Priority will be given to unemployed community members, especially those from poor households.
- Persons with disabilities will be actively encouraged to apply and participate.
- Individuals receiving social grants, including disability grants, are eligible to apply.
Reporting Structure
EPWP Casual Labourers will report directly to their delegated Supervisors. Supervisors will provide work instructions, monitor performance, and manage attendance registers.
