Requirements:

  • Formal Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate.

FINANCE OFFICER (Pretoria)

Duties:

  • Prepare and compile month-end reporting files, perform reconciliations (accounts receivable, payable, and Persal general ledger accounts), and ensure accuracy of balance sheet accounts.
  • Supervise bank reconciliation and petty cash, confirm daily cash book balances, investigate discrepancies, and ensure monthly general ledger alignment.
  • Compile general journals, correct misallocations, assist with accruals, and prepare audit documents.
  • Investigate theft and losses, update relevant accounts, and liaise with legal services for recommendations.
  • Perform all accounts payable and receivable activities and provide client support.

Requirements:

  • Formal Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Job-Related Work Experience: 2 years in financial management.

Duties:

  • Conduct property valuations for land reform (S12(1)(a) of PVA) and acquisition/disposal (S12(1)(b) of PVA): Interpret instructions, notify property owners, conduct site inspections, perform market research, and compile valuation reports.
  • Conduct quality assurance on valuation reports: Verify compliance with client instructions, policies, and standards, compile comments, request amendments, and issue valuation certificates.
  • Handle owner representations per Property Valuers Act regulations: Assess information, consider amendments, and issue final certificates.
  • Address queries on valuations: Acknowledge, assess, record, and resolve within set timeframes.

Requirements:

  • Formal Qualifications: National Diploma/Degree in Real Estate/Property Studies/Property Development and Management, Land and Property Development Management, or SACPVP-accredited qualification. Registered as a Professional Associated Valuer or Professional Valuer.
  • Job-Related Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of property valuation experience.
  • Job-Related Knowledge: Rural development programs, property value factors, farm valuation, customer service principles, file/record management, economic/accounting principles, financial markets, and legal/government regulations.
