Job Description

Purpose

The primary purpose of the Seasonal Store General Worker role at Pedro’s is to deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for every customer while supporting the efficient operation of the store.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts to maintain operational efficiency in a busy restaurant environment.
• Stock Handling: Lift, carry, and move stock items and equipment safely and efficiently to ensure the store is well-stocked and operational.
• Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service by engaging with customers courteously, addressing their needs promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Fast-Paced Environment: Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced setting, managing multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Visual Acuity: Demonstrate good eyesight to ensure accuracy in tasks such as reading orders, identifying stock items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Grade 10 certificate.
  • National Senior Certificate (Matric) is preferred.
• Literacy Skills: Well-developed reading and writing skills to understand customer orders, follow written instructions, and communicate effectively.
• Numeracy Skills: Strong numerical abilities to handle cash transactions, calculate change accurately, and assist with stock counts.
• Experience: At least one year of experience as a waiter or in a similar customer-facing role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
