ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT OFFICER

SALARY: R896,436 – R1,055,958 per annum (Level 11), (All-inclusive annual salary package, of which 30% may be structured according to the individual’s needs). The department will determine the salary notch based on years’ experience post professional registration.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A relevant B Degree or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA (NQF Level 7).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience post qualification and a valid driver’s license.

DUTIES:

  • Manage the support service of the office.
  • Manage registry counter service.
  • Attend to clients.
  • Manage telephonic and other enquiries received.
  • Manage the receiving and registering of delivered mail/files.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Manage the receiving, sorting, registering, and dispatching of all mail.
  • Distribute notices on registry issues.
  • Render an effective filing and record management service.
  • Open and close files according to the record classification system.
  • File, store, trace (electronically and manually), and retrieve documents and files.
  • Complete index cards for all files.
  • Operate office machines in relation to the registry function.
  • Update register daily.
  • Process documents for archiving and disposal.
  • Be in charge of the driver and manage all driver tasks: collect and deliver documents internally and externally, collect and deliver mail to and from the Post Office, transport employees, collect and deliver office equipment, perform routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle, and report defects timely.
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
  • Complete all required records and logbooks for the vehicle and goods handled.
  • Manage the food aide service in the office of the MEC.

FOOD SERVICE AID
