Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Physical and Work Requirements

Key Performance Areas

The duties for this role are diverse and may vary depending on departmental needs. The responsibilities fall under the following categories:

A) General Duties
  • Loading and offloading goods and equipment.
  • Assisting artisans and tradesmen aides.
  • Maintaining tools and ensuring they are kept clean and safe.
  • Upkeeping hospital grounds, including outdoor maintenance.
B) Porter Duties
  • Transporting patients using stretchers or wheelchairs between wards and departments.
  • Assisting patients physically when necessary.
  • Moving deceased individuals to the mortuary.
  • Cleaning and maintaining stretchers and wheelchairs.
  • Performing minor repairs on transport equipment.
C) Laundry Aid Duties
  • Recording incoming and outgoing linen accurately.

D) Cleaning Duties
  • Cleaning offices, passages, and ablution facilities.
