Intercare Corporate Services situated in Lynnwood, Pretoria, seeks to recruit a Debtors Clerk. The focus of this position will be to handle debtors’ administration tasks relating to medical aid claims in order to minimize debtor’s days in a client friendly, yet effective manner.
CRITICAL OUTPUTS
- Be familiar with the rules of the funders.
- Ensure all accounts and short payments are followed up on after processing of remittances.
- Remittance advices are reconciled accurately.
- Manage the age analysis to ensure accounts are paid promptly.
- Ensure only valid accounts are handed over to collection department for collection.
- Ensure all write offs are in line with Company Policy and Procedure.
- Be able to handle all patients and practice related queries in a professional manner, within required time frame.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum: Grade 12
- Finance related qualification will be advantageous
- Minimum 2 years experience in a debtor’s environment processing medical accounts advantageous
- Understanding of Medical Accounts and Medical Aids
- Knowledge of the GoodX system will be advantageous
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised and able to tackle multiple tasks
- Customer service orientation and team player
- Financial and business acumen
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Attention to detail
