The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Grants Administrator within the Mpumalanga Region. These opportunities are available at various local offices across the Gert Sibande and Ehlanzeni Districts. Successful candidates will be responsible for providing grants customer care services, screening and capturing applications, administering medical bookings and assessments, and supporting off-site grant application processes. Applicants are required to hold a qualification at NQF Level 06 in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Social Sciences, or Social Security, as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Appointments will be subject to compulsory pre-employment screening, including qualification verification, reference checks, criminal record vetting, and competency assessments. Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will promote employment equity and representivity in terms of race, gender, and disability. Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold a qualification in the relevant field at NQF Level 06, recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in one of the following fields:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide grants customer care services.
  • Screen and capture grant applications, including beneficiary maintenance functions.
  • Administer medical bookings and assessments.
  • Provide off-site grant application services to clients.
  • Scan and batch files.
Employment Equity
  • 1 x Mkhondo Local Office: Preference will be given to African Males, followed by People with Disabilities and Coloured Males respectively.
