Job Overview
Bidvest Tank Terminals (BTT) is seeking two Operator Level 2 professionals to join our Durban Operations Team. This role ensures safe and efficient bulk storage operations on a shift basis, contributing to seamless operational performance.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Maths, Science, and proficiency in English
- Completed all Operator Level 2 competency modules
- Minimum of 2 years’ BTT Operations experience
- Code 8 Driver’s Licence (preferred)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute site and shipping activities per BTT procedures and planning schedule
- Ensure plant equipment is maintained and report defective equipment to the Team Leader
- Conduct Vessel Entry inspections and confirm tank cleanliness prior to surveyor attendance
- Accurately perform and calculate stop dips and pumping rates
- Prepare tanks, lines, and equipment for operations as directed
- Load and unload drums onto flat racks and containers per drumming procedure
- Operate heat systems, chillers, and compressors as per site plans
- Manage tank key control procedures for signing in and out keys
- Facilitate effective shift handovers to ensure operational continuity
- Report losses and gains to the Team Leader during shifts
- Supervise and direct Operator Level 4 and Operator Level 5 team members
- Manage effluent and separator operations to prevent environmental damage
Competencies
- Willingness to work shifts per the BTT Shift roster
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, and operating procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

Job Overview
Bidvest Tank Terminals is looking for an Assistant Store Controller to join our Projects & Engineering Department in Richards Bay. This role supports inventory management and store operations, reporting directly to the Technical Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- SAP experience
- Procurement experience (advantageous)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage timely receipt and issue of inventory, including checking quantities and processing documentation
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date inventory records on SAP
- Monitor stock levels and notify the Technical Manager and procurement for replenishment needs
- Organize goods in allocated storage areas
- Inspect, control, and record stores equipment loaned to sites/workshops
- Track and report non-moving stock to the Technical Manager
- Maintain order and good housekeeping in the stores
- Step into the Store Controller’s role during their absence

- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of purchasing-related documentation
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
