Cash Controller
Position: Cash Controller

Primary Function
Responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of the finance department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The candidate will support the department by providing financial information, maintaining and reconciling the General Ledger, and preparing various analyses.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and receipt all money.
- Bank twice weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays) at the Cash Vault.
- File all transactions.
- Perform daily cash-up of box office ticket sales.
- Sign and check documentation for daily sales per user report.
- Ensure documentation is approved by the Finance Manager and faxed to Web tickets.
- Control a petty cash float of R40,000.00 and an additional float for in-house production expenses.
- Develop and implement a cash management plan to ensure sufficient funds.
- Ensure correct allocation of account codes and obtain HOD signatures for transactions.
- Copy and provide show expenses to the Bookkeeper upon receipt.
- Manage show per diems.
- Process Tax Invoices in Pastel daily.
- Email or print and distribute invoices to clients daily.
- Recover telephone bills (SABT, HLM, etc.).
- Follow up on outstanding debtors and maintain correspondence files for audits.
- Assist with information for internal and external auditors.
- Review Accounts Receivable policy.
- Prepare monthly cashbooks and bank reconciliations for all JCT bank accounts.
- File monthly bank reconciliations and payment vouchers.
- Collate overtime sheets, prepare schedules, and submit to payroll.

Primary Function
