Limpopo Department of Public Works Roads Infrastructure

The Limpopo Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure invites applications from unemployed South African youth who have graduated and require workplace experience to apply for the Graduate Internship Programme 2027/2029. Applicants must not have previously participated in a Public Service Graduate Internship Programme in any government department.

Successful candidates will be appointed for a period of 24 months, from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2029, and will receive a monthly stipend of R8,174.75. Internship opportunities are available in Properties and Facilities, Roads Maintenance, and Infrastructure Management at Head Office and various district offices across Limpopo.

Internship Duration

Successful interns will be appointed for a period of 24 months, commencing on 1 April 2027 and ending on 31 March 2029. Interns will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with the Department of Public Service and Administration’s Directive on Employment of Persons on Developmental Programmes in the Public Service.

Closing Date: 06 November 2026 at 16h30.

Applications must be submitted using the duly completed prescribed Z83 application for employment form (2021 version), which is available from any public service department or can be downloaded from www.dpsa.gov.za. All fields on the Z83 form must be fully completed, and applications must be accompanied by a recent, comprehensive and detailed CV.

Applicants are not required to submit copies of qualifications and other relevant documents when applying, except when applying through the eRecruitment system. Applications submitted through the eRecruitment system must be accompanied by a recent, comprehensive CV, copies of all qualifications, an Identity Document and a valid driver’s licence, where applicable. Applicants with foreign qualifications are responsible for ensuring that their qualifications are evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). All shortlisted candidates will undergo security clearance and verification of qualifications. Shortlisted candidates, including Senior Management Service (SMS) candidates, will also be required to complete two pre-entry assessments. These will include a practical exercise to assess their suitability against the technical and generic requirements of the post, as well as an integrity assessment to evaluate ethical conduct. The recommended candidate will undergo a Personnel Suitability Check for security purposes.

Failure to comply with the above requirements will result in disqualification. The Department reserves the right not to make any appointments to the advertised posts.
