RESPONSIBILITIES
 Carry out excavation work using pick, shovel, spade, pick-axe, wheelbarrow, rake, fork and broom to remove unwanted materials.
 Operate mechanical tools and vibrator roller and tar cutter to excavate defined areas.
 Clean storm water pipes and structures with hand or mechanical tools by entering manholes and removing debris.
 Clean or clear blockages and removing debris from drainage systems and sweeping sidewalks.
 Lay paving slabs, interlocking blocks and kerbs.
 Removing and washing off debris from tools and equipment, clean the working area and using hand tools, wheelbarrows and water.
 Load and offload material from vehicles.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Follow the directives of the supervisor and work under the supervision of Team Leader as required.
 Assist with minor road maintenance such as cold patching roads or painting traffic lights as needed.
 Assist with traffic control to safely direct vehicles through areas of construction.
 Participate in all aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and maintain knowledge of municipal policies.
 Fully participate in all Personal Protective Equipment as provided to maintain personal safety while completing work tasks.
 Fully participate in all training sessions and adhere to their content.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Haul materials, debris, equipment, etc., to and from job sites as required.
 Check roadways for hazardous conditions, reports conditions to supervisor.
 Clear sides of roadways of debris, trees and other vegetation which impair visibility; assists with weed abatement activities.
 Maintain road signs.
 Place and remove safety cones, barricades and signs at appropriate times to ensure crew safety; flags traffic as necessary.
 Clean and maintain assigned vehicles, equipment and tools; assist in maintaining cleanliness.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Receiving instructions / guidance from the Artisan and attends to the preparation of work sites. (e.g. placing road signage, loading/off-loading
equipment, tools, etc.) And/or fastening slings/ropes and guiding/holding material/equipment during the loading/off-loading sequence.
 Providing support to the Electrical Assistant and Artisan during the marking off of a work area/site holding measuring tapes and inserting level indicators.
 Excavating and backfilling trenches to defined levels using hand held tools (e.g. spade, picks, etc.)
 Preparing requisite quantities of materials (e.g. concrete, mortar, etc) and proceeds with mixing sequences.
 Cleaning and removing blockages, debris and alien vegetation from/around premises housing electrical distribution systems or trimming vegetation interfering with overhead lines and cables using hand held tools (e.g. spade, trimmers, etc.)
 Removing and washing off debris from tools and equipment.
 Placing and stacking tools/equipment in the vehicle, observing sequences and procedures supporting safe transit.
 Physically loading materials and other products and/or holding and guiding plant/equipment during the hoisting and placement.
 Removing debris / rubble, etc, and cleaning worksites

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the wastewater treatment plant, drying beds, blower room, and generators.
 Cleans and washes clarifiers.
 Cleans sewer mains and lift stations
 Performs lift station maintenance including alarm testing, pump down testing, pull pumps, etc.
 Assists with the installation of wastewater collection and water distribution lines, taps, repairs, and replacement.
 Manhole installation and maintenance.
 Regular upkeep and maintenance of the vehicles, equipment, and tools used.
 Complete assigned health and safety courses to create a safe work environment.

 Mowing of grass using riding and hand mowing equipment.
 Maintain and manage cemetery grounds, including landscaping, mowing, trimming, and other ground keeping tasks.
 Prepares graves and maintains cemetery grounds: locate grave site according to section, lot, and plot numbers, and marks area to be excavated.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Picking up litter and or items lying in open spaces.
 Removing and replacing refuse bags from collection bins in public areas.
 Sweeping walkways and paved areas using a broom, gathering, picking and transferring litter into refuse collection bags.
 Carrying refuse bags to designated areas for collection and or attends to the loading and offloading of refuse bags into and from refuse vehicles.
 Removing of refuse from Municipal streets, gutters, sidewalks into pile and shovels refuse into refuse bags by using of brooms.
 Remove paper and similar rubbish from lawns, flower beds, or highway median strips, using spike-tipped stick or litter pickers to maintain the Municipal area in a clean and healthy environment

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Moving refuse bags, wheelie bins, recycling bins and all recyclable material towards the truck.
 Using a lifting mechanism to tip the waste from bins into the truck.
 Throwing plastic bags into the back of the truck.
 Sorting recyclable materials at the Kerbside where necessary
 Guiding the driver safely around the streets.
 Helping to unload the waste at designated facilities.
 Removing and washing off debris from tools, containers and/ or vehicles, applying disinfectants and using pressurized cleaning systems (handheld hoses).

 Plants and propagates bedding plants; may manage greenhouse operations, as applicable.
 Plants, transplants, fertilizes, applies chemicals, waters, prunes, and weeds flower beds and plant areas.
 Maintains flowers, bushes, trees, and shrubs.
 Picks up and disposes of litter.
 Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
 May irrigate, mow, rake, and trim lawns and/or athletic fields.
 Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
