
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Senior Clerk to be based in Eastern Cape.

Position: Senior Clerk
(Technical: Metering)

Task Grade: 6 (R229 632 – R319 248 per annum)
Basic salary only: excluding benefits)

Qualifications and experience required:
•Secondary (Grade12).
•One years’ relevant experience.
•Computer literacy.
Key attributes and competencies:
•Good communication and administrative skills.
•Report-writing skills.
•Pass debit and credit adjustments on accounts.
•Assigns meter reding routes and oversees that the meter-readers read the meters on
these routes and verifies the reading against the billing system.
Special conditions for the post:
A valid code B Drivers’ licence would be preferred.
Job purpose:
To capture, verify and submit for billing, the meter readings of all metered demand business customers in supply.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
