JOB SUMMARY
To provide Parliament with high level expertise with Safety, Health and Environment related support, guidance and advice. This includes the co-ordination of all SHE matters for the Office and the implementation the training and risk assessments in this regard.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

- Health and Safety Information
- Safety audits and Assessments
- Training and Coaching
TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 and a Post Graduate Diploma Occupational Health or Bachelor of Environmental Health or related qualification at an NQF Level 8
- With Three (3) years relevant experience in a Health and Safety Environment operation in a similar position providing expert support and advice.
IN ADDITION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMOSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- In-depth Knowledge of the OHS Act and COID Act
- Understanding of relevant SANS codes
- Excellent coaching, facilitation and presentation skills
- General knowledge of the built environment
- Excellent planning and organising skills
- Knowledge of safety and security processes, standards and principles
- Excellent SHE workplace risk assessment skills
- Ability to develop trust, safety conscious and ethical behaviour
- Ability to respond quickly to business needs/agility, flexibility, continuous learning, innovation and proven ability to experiment on creative business solutions
- Ability to be inclusive, eagerness for multiple skills, embraces multiple cultures, accepts different approaches and be human-centric/empathetic
- Results orientated, quality driven, excellence, efficient and effective.
