PG Bison is seeking qualified individuals to apply for the Electrician role at the Ugie Board Plant in the Eastern Cape.
Position: Electrician
Department: Engineering
Reporting to: Electrical Foreman
Location: PG Bison Ugie Board Plant, Eastern Cape
Closing date for applications: 14 April 2025
Main functions will include but is not limited to:
- Maintenance on all electrical equipment.
- Fault finding and repair on all electrical equipment.
- Performance of changes to base documentation i.e. Manuals, P&ID and all instrumentation drawings.
- Identification and informing Team Leaders of any health or safety hazards in the plant.
- Performance of shift duty on the plant if required.
- Maintenance of OHASA standards and ensure high levels of housekeeping.
- Performance of after-hour standby duty on the plant.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum N3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
- Recognized Electrical Trade Test.
- Minimum 5 years’ post Trade Test experience as an Electrician.
- Manufacturing environment experience will be advantageous.
- Wireman’s Licence will be advantageous.
Recommended skills, knowledge and qualities:
- Competency to conduct electrical inspections, repairs, installations and issue CoC.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Basic PLC and SCADA knowledge (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
- Basic Frequency drive knowledge (Allen Bradley and SEW).
- Good understanding of processes.

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
