
The South African Music Performance Rights Association invites unemployed graduates to apply for Internship Programme 2024.
Position: Internship Programme
Stipend: R6 500.00 per month.

The SAMPRA Development Fund has an internship opportunity for a graduate who wants to develop skills and experience in the music industry. The applicant should be an innovative, analytical, proactive and computer literate graduate. The successful applicant will be placed at SAMPRA Parktown offices in Gauteng.
The applicant will get exposure in the Customer Service Department and must have completed a qualification in customer service/ data analytics/ research psychology or a relevant field of study with an accredited institution. The successful candidate will get full exposure in the running of a Neighbouring Rights Administration company.
The core exposure areas are the following:
- Reviewing and processing performer and record company applications.
- Works notification.
- General customer queries and ticket resolution.
- Ensuring members data is captured correctly.
- Assisting members with applications and account claims on SAMPRA Connect.
- Workshop logistics including sourcing branding materials and information brochures from the Marketing Department and SAMPRA Development Fund.
- Taking notes and writing reports on member visits.
- Research metadata from airplay monitoring systems.
- Researching undocumented works; and members’ details.
The following are key requirements:
- A completed qualification in a relevant field of study;
- No work experience;
- Proof of qualification (certified copy of transcript or qualification);
- Should be close or a driving distance to Parktown;
- A South African;
- Willingness to take instructions and follow company rules and protocols;
- Passionate about music and possess positive energy, and
- Outgoing and vibrant personality.
The intern will be required to attend company events (some might include Saturdays or evenings).
