About the Opportunity
SASSA plays a critical role in administering social grants to millions of South Africans. The agency continuously works to ensure that grants are paid to the correct beneficiaries and that all records remain accurate and up to date.
The Grants Review programme forms an important part of this responsibility. Contract Workers appointed to these positions will assist with beneficiary reviews, documentation verification, data capturing, community outreach activities, and various administrative functions aimed at maintaining the integrity of the social grants system.
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to gain practical experience within a government environment while supporting vulnerable communities throughout the Free State.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess a recognised NQF Level 6 qualification that has been accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) in one of the following fields:

Key Responsibilities
The appointed Contract Workers will perform a variety of duties that support SASSA’s Grants Review programme.

- Conducting beneficiary screenings
- Completing manual grant applications
- Performing file reviews and validations

- Reviewing life certificates
- Identifying frail or immobile beneficiaries
