The position reports to the Security Manager and requires candidates to demonstrate professionalism, strong observation skills and the ability to respond effectively to potential risks or security threats. Responsibilities extend to ensuring compliance with company policies, maintaining operational readiness of security equipment and delivering customer-focused service across assigned sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
Protection and Safety Operations
- Safeguard employees, visitors, buildings, vehicles and equipment
- Maintain a safe and secure environment across assigned sites
- Ensure safety of all personnel within operational areas
Access Control and Visitor Management
- Control and monitor access points
- Regulate entry and exit of employees, visitors and contractors
- Manage traffic flow and direct vehicles when required
Patrols and Surveillance
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings, perimeter areas and equipment
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarms and surveillance infrastructure
- Identify irregularities during patrol activities
Incident Response and Reporting
- Respond to alarms, emergencies and security breaches
- Activate alarms or signaling systems when necessary
- Compile detailed incident, occurrence and observation reports
Enforcement of Policies and Compliance
- Enforce security procedures, rules and site regulations
- Maintain compliance with national and provincial safety regulations
- Support emergency procedures including evacuation and fire prevention
Equipment and Operational Readiness
- Conduct preventative checks on security equipment
- Ensure equipment is functional at all times
- Report defects or malfunctions immediately
Customer Service and Professional Conduct
- Maintain professional conduct while on duty
- Interact with staff, clients and visitors in a professional manner

Risk Awareness and Threat Identification
