JOB PURPOSE:
- To ensure a reliable duty by assisting RME Construction teams during maintenance and construction works
- To ensure that work is completed effectively and efficiently performing general worker duties
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum Grade 9 and or 6 months relevant experience
- physically fit, (Undergo medical examination and be declared fit for duty) be alert and safety conscious, as well as able to communicate in English
- Be able to work under adverse weather conditions.
- Be prepared to work extended hours on short notice.
- Wiling to relocate or work outside your designated depot.
- Be able to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Health and Safety conscious.
- Be prepared to work on noise environmental area.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Carry out all tasks as set out by the Supervisor/Team Leader.
- Be punctual and must be of sober habit.
- Handling, loading and offloading material
- Cleaning of sites by removing weeds, stacking materials, sweeping floors, removing and disposing of excess/rubble materials,
- Must be able to use any hand tool (non-mechanised) in the construction environment
- Cleaning of tools
