Tshiamo Group invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Laboratory Analyst X8 posts.
Position: Laboratory Analyst X8
Location: Umlalazi Colliery, Witbank, Mpumalanga.
Department: Production

Responsibilities & Responsibilities
•Analyzing of coal samples for specific
analysis using the correct Procedures and or Methods.
•Calibration and maintenance of instruments.
•Calculate test results as per standard format and or procedure.
•Re-analyzes samples when control results are not within control chart limits.
•Complete analysis/results within the timeframe specified by the client.
•Completion and filing of control charts for the standard of the instruments used.
•Should be able to relieve in the next upper level.
•Assist in doing preparation and screening duties when required due to the shortage of staff or overload of work.
•In the case of an employee with a driver’s license; he/she should be able to assist in cases where necessary should there be shortage of drivers on shift.
•Ensure that all test results are reported timeously and accurately.
•Maintain good housekeeping in area of responsibility.
•Provide collaborate leadership.
Qualification and Experience
•Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent with English, Mathematics and Science as subject is preferable.
•Basic / Higher certificate in analytical chemistry would add as an advantage.
Knowledge / Competencies / Abilities
•At least 2-3 years experience in the coal laboratary industry.
•Working with laboratory equipment experience would be recommended.
