uMngeni-uThukela Water invites young South African creatives to apply for two exciting Creative Media Internship opportunities designed for graduates interested in developing professional experience in graphic design, videography and photography.

The internship programme is aimed at recent graduates who want to build practical skills while contributing to meaningful communication projects within South Africa’s water sector. Successful candidates will join the Marketing and Communications Team and gain exposure to professional creative work, corporate communications, community engagement and public-sector branding.

The internship programme will run for 24 months and is a paid, fixed-term opportunity. One position is available in Graphic Design and one position is available in Videography and Photography.

Creative Media Internship Opportunities

The available opportunities are divided into two fields:

  • Graphic Design
  • Videography and Photography

Both positions are based at the PMB Head Office.

The opportunities are particularly suitable for graduates who have completed qualifications at NQF Level 6 or higher in relevant creative and design disciplines.

1. Graphic Design Internship

Applicants must have one of the following relevant qualifications:

  • Diploma in Multimedia Design or Digital Design
  • National Diploma in Graphic Design
  • Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication
  • Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design or Communication Design
  • Bachelor of Visual Arts specialising in Graphic Design

Minimum Requirements

  • National Diploma in Video Technology
  • National Diploma in Film and Television Production
  • National Diploma in Motion Picture and Sound Production
  • Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Production
  • Bachelor of Arts in Film and Media Production
  • Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Production
  • Bachelor of Creative Arts specialising in Film or Media Production
  • Bachelor of Visual Arts specialising in Film or Video Production

Minimum Requirements

Applicants for the Videography and Photography Internship must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be under the age of 35
  • Must have a portfolio demonstrating competence in both videography and photography

  • Knowledge of lighting techniques
  • Knowledge of audio recording
  • Knowledge of post-production editing
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects
  • Ability to capture content in both studio and field environments
