Position: Administration Clerk, Marine Protected Areas
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (30 months)
Location: Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), Cape Town
The WILDTRUST is partnering with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and theEnvironment (DFFE), to promote marine conservation and effective management, and is recruiting a candidate to be seconded to the DFFE to provide administrative and logistical support for the management of Marine Protected Areas.
Key Performance Areas:
- Duties include management of documents, correspondence, petty cash and credit card payments; logistical support including travel and venue bookings; sourcing quotations, verifying authorizations and payments, capturing requisitions and diary management.
Requirements:
- The candidate must hold a National Senior Certificate or National Diploma
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- English literacy is essential.
- The individual should possess strong communication, co-ordination and conflict resolution skills and have the ability to work independently or in a team.
- The candidate should be proactive, organised, individually accountable, and able to work under pressure.
- The individual must be computer literate; able to compile spreadsheets and reports and prepare budgets.
- Knowledge of procurement, financial management, administrative and public service procedures will be advantageous.
