Directorate of Logistical Services

The Directorate of Logistical Service at the Department of Transport Services has 4 permanent position of Drivers based at Pretoria Campus.

Critical Performance Areas

  • Driving: Transporting students and staff members for academic purposes.
  • Pre-Trip vehicle inspection
  • Report accidents to Transport Officer
  • Quality Client Service: Client Orientation
  • Ensure Good Communication to the passengers
  • Ensure Safe Driving
  • Reporting all defects e.g. breakage, maintenance and incidents.
  • Adherence to the Road Traffic rules and regulations

Minimum Requirements:
1 Academic Qualifications

  • Basic Literacy (ABET)/Grade 09

2 Experience (minimum)

  • Two (2) years` relevant experience

Professional registration

  • Drivers Licence code EC. (code 14) Plus PDp (Public Driving permit)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Current road and traffic rules and regulations (NB: Public driving requirements)
  • Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance
  • Customer care
  • Good communication
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to do “minor on-the-spot-break-down”
