Position: Warehouse Operator X2 Posts

Reporting to Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose
Performs the physical tasks involved in the picking, checking, packing, shipping of orders to our customers in a manner that meets company
standards/guidelines for safety, security, and productivity. The warehouse Operator is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all orders picked, checked, and packed.

Required Learning

  • Grade 12
  • Minimum of 9 months warehouse experience
  • PPT license would be advantageous.
  • Post Basic Pharmacist would be advantageous.

Key Job Outputs

  • Picking shippers in the “pick to light” area.
  • Pick stock according to pick slip or RF Scanner in all areas in the warehouse.
  • Picking stock at the OSR.
  • Ensure the following checks are conducted when picking: batch no, item code, item description, required QTY, expiry date.
  • Place picked stock onto trolleys or pallets and move to assigned area.
  • Ensure picked stock is placed on the conveyor or at the respective packing station.
  • Assist with cold chain orders if required.
  • Ensure stock is packed in the right size box and bubble wraps placed in box
    if not full to avoid damage to products.
  • Paste delivery labels on shippers and pallets before sending parcels to dispatch.
  • Inform stock controllers and supervisors of any possible stock or property damages.
  • Check equipment on daily basis for any faults and informing supervisors of equipment malfunctions that need to be addressed.
  • Following any reasonable instruction or completing any reasonable task given to you by your superiors even if outside of the Outputs listed above including, but not limited to General Work
  • Maintain good housekeeping principles and a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for housekeeping assigned to them.
  • Adherence to prescribe SOP’s, Health and Safety procedures and GDP.
  • Participate in Bi-annual stock counts.
  • Induction of empty totes into OSR.
  • Moving stock around anywhere in the warehouse if required.
  • Dropping picked totes from OSR to the packers
