Adcock Ingram invites South African unemployed youth to apply for Graduate Learnership/Programme for a period of 12 months.

Position: Pharmacy Sales Representative (Graduate Learnership/Programme)
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Closing Date: 17 June 2024

Reporting to: Pharmacy Sales Manager – Prescription Division

Job Purpose – The opportunity to gain working experience in a South African pharmaceutical company.
The objective of the learnership/programme is to provide newly qualified graduates with meaningful workplace experience in sales and marketing, working as a Sales representative in the Prescription division at Adcock Ingram

Required Learning

Matric plus any of the following B degree or Honours:
✓ Business Administration
✓ Marketing
✓ Physiology
✓ Anatomy and Physiology
✓ Pharmacology
✓ Biotechnology
✓ Anatomy
✓ Medical Bioscience
✓ Biology
• Driver’s licence
• Sales experience of 0-2 years
• Currently unemployed
• Younger than 35 years

Key Job Outputs – To constantly achieve individual regional and divisional sales targets
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with Independent and Retail Pharmacies
• Ensure adherence to product marketing strategy through management of stock levels, merchandising, promotional activity at pharmacies, and dispensaries.
• To identify opportunities in the market for new products and new growth areas for the business
• Successfully implement sales and marketing strategies
• Analysis of regional sales, competitor and market share data, develop strategies and action plans to maximize sales potential in the respective area.
• To respond adequately and professionally to customer complaints and queries
