
The Artisan Training Institute (ATI) invites interested and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of ETDP Electrical to be based in Kimberley, Northern Cape.

Artisan Training Institute (ATI) is a leading privately-owned technical training provider with three campuses in Roodepoort, Kimberley, and Kwa-Zulu Natal. Our mission is to provide the finest standard of technical skills training at an international standard.
Primary function
To ensure that learners/artisans are effectively trained in line with standards, quality, and ethics of the Institute.
Key Performance Areas:
• Training Learners / Apprentices / Semi-skilled
• Induct all learners/artisans prior to training.
• Conduct trainability assessments where required.
• Conduct trade test readiness/ARPL assessments.
• Facilitate theoretical and practical training for learners.
• Prepare learners for trade tests ensuring that standards are met within specified time frames.
• Conduct final assessments.
• Conduct short courses
Administration
• Compile fourth/six weekly report for the client.
• Compile final 12/15-week report.
Compile assessment /ARPL reports.
• For all reports, prepare two hard copies for distribution to the client and one for record keeping at the Institute.
• Participate in disciplinary enquires /Counselling as and when required.
• Internal stores requisition.
• Ensure that assessor / Moderator registration is up to date with all SETA’s.
Consulting Deployment
Provide consulting services to the consulting division as may be authorised by the Operations Manager.
Generate reports and provide feedback as required by Head: Projects and Business Development.
Ensure that all travel documentation is valid, and arrangements are as per the Travel Policy.
General
Assist with the general maintenance on-site.
Assist with private work as and when required.
Acceptance of OHS Appointments as required.
Ensure health and safety in area.
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum qualification:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Electrical Trade Certificate.
• Moderators and Assessors will be an advantage.
Minimum experience required for this position:
• 3 years’ experience beyond apprenticeship.
• Training experience will be a distinct advantage.
Behavioural skills:
• Coaching & Mentoring Skills.
• Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of individuals.
• Interpersonal skills – good communication and presentation skills.
• Teamwork
Technical skills:
• Computer literacy – MS Office.
• Driver’s License
• Multilingual
