Position: Quality Controller
Duties include but are not limited to:
Recruitment:
- Monitor processing finished product and distribution by means of verification and validation checks as per requirement or schedule.
- Check and verify that ingredients used have correct lot numbers or batch numbers, have not expired, or have deteriorated in quality.
- Conduct a full traceability exercise monthly from dispatch back raw material receiving.
- Daily verification checks on all Scales, Refractometer used in production and packing.
- Weekly verification of Thermometers used in production.
- Daily or weekly temperature verification for chocolate tanks.
- Weekly temperature verification of storage areas and refrigerated areas.
- Report and raise job cards for faulty process control equipment.
- Checking of incoming raw materials and packaging.
- Checking of storage area and condition of all raw material, work in progress, finished product and packaging material.
- Collect retention samples for each product packed daily.
- Monitoring segregation of allergenic raw materials during storage and production.
- Monitor, check and verify all processes and CCP’s; raw material receiving, dry/liquid Ingredients sieving, nut sorting, chocolate sieving, weight checks, metal detection (CCP) and visual quality of all products.
- Preparation of samples for evaluation (Positive release, End of life)
- Full Traceability compliance
- Verification of measuring devices or equipment.
- 100% compliance with process monitoring.
- Full compliance with product evaluation.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Knowledge of GMP & HACCP.
- Good communication skills written and verbal.
- Good knowledge of general administrative and filing processes and procedures.
- Experience in Pastel Sage Evolution will be an advantage.
- Strong administration skills.
